Changing the Conversation on DEI
There are many ways to ensure that planning efforts meet the needs of all constituents and stakeholders. You can use a DEI program, but these sometimes engender backlash, and these days may run afoul of the current Federal Administration’s hostility to such efforts. But you can also achieve the same (or even better!) diversity by using a methodology like Future Search, which helps all stakeholder groups to find their common ground and work together on their own organization or community.
